Have You Seen Her?

Ellie's drawing of Mommy

Ellie's Mother's Day Drawing

To celebrate Mother's Day (which is really not even a Japanese holiday), Ellie's kindergarten did a craft where each student drew a picture of their mommy.  These priceless pictures were on display at a department store.

Missing Nozomi

We miss her terribly, as she's been in California keeping her green card status valid. For those scoring at home, I'm an American, Nozomi is a Japanese citizen and both kids are dual citizens of each country.  At any rate, Nozomi needs to return to the States every once in a while to keep her green card.  There's a whole story to this trip, which I'll allow Nozomi to share when she returns.

During Nozomi's absence, I've obviously needed to cover a few more bases than usual.  I've stayed up late a lot, taking care of the kids by day -- Zack (who's on summer vacation) and Ellie who is still attending Japanese kindergarten -- and some important Asian Access responsibilities by night.  At one point, I had just 6 hours of sleep over a 4-day period!

But in addition to God sustaining me, I have been grateful for friends who have helped me survive this 11-day challenge. The following are just three of many examples. . .
