Easter Party Successful

On Saturday, April 5 we held a Post-Easter party for a bunch of our neighbors. Granted, it was a full 13 days after Easter, but we just couldn't pass up this golden opportunity. A few of them had asked Nozomi what this holiday is all about. She would have been glad to tell them one-by-one, but we felt God opened the door for us hit 29 birds with one stone.

That's right! There were 18 children and 11 parents (not including our family) who attended our Post-Easter Party. In fact, we had to rent a big room near Zack's school to hold everyone, because it was too many people to fit in our wonderful house.

Nozomi presented the Gospel beautifully in Japanese through creative story board sketches. Then the kids and their parents spent an hour doing three sets of crafts: egg coloring, a cross craft, and decorating their own cupcakes. This was followed by an Easter egg hunt.

Most of the folks didn't want to leave after the party was over, but they had to get going because their kids had a soccer match to go play.
