As I was bagging my own groceries today, I thought to myself, "I wonder if my friends know that we have to bag our own groceries here? I better blog about this..." So here I am, letting you know that after purchasing the amount that will hopefully fit into your bike basket(s), they give you 1 or 2 plastic bags, and you go to another area of the store where you proceed to place all your stuff neatly into those bags. It's not just the grocery store. Wherever you shop, there is always another area where shoppers bag their purchases.
Here is a picture that I had Jeff take when I returned from 2 different stores. Since Ellie was not with me, i was able to put some things in the back. My purse wouldn't fit, so I just rode with it on my shoulder. Yes, I'm getting stronger by the day. But I still can't make it up the hill to my house. I always have to get off and push the bike for a while until it levels off.
These are unrelated, random thoughts, but there are so many "did you know???" things that I'd like to share with you. Another one is, did you know that we had to stop using our American bath towels here? It's because they're so big and plush that 1) they never, ever dry and 2) they're too big that they'd take up the load of wash.
Well, that's enough for today. I'll post more as I think of it. As always, thank you so much for your prayers. We very much feel sustained by it, so please don't stop.
