Stuff I'm Not Used To
Someone asked me to share about things I’m surprised about. So here is my list...
I’m surprised about:
- How much Japanese people travel everywhere.
- How late our neighbor kids play outside.
- How crowded it is in the train stations.
- There are a lot of pedestrians on the road, plus cars and bicycles.
- Roads in Tokyo are more narrow and have more turns than in America.
- Many kids ride their bicycles to school, and I see a lot of young kids on the back of their mom’s bicycles.
- Meal portions are smaller in Japan.
- There are lots of buttons on the toilets, and the toilet is not in the bathroom. It’s in the toilet room and you wear special slippers in this room. The bathtub and shower are in the bathroom.
- Many windows have shutters that protect them against the rain and wind, and there can be sliding doors with rice paper covering the window.
- How late the mailman works. Last night after dinner, we saw the mailman working,
As you can see, Japan is very interesting.
Here are some things you can pray for:
- Me riding safe to school (and Mom and Ellie)
- For me to do well in school
- For me to make new friends
- For me to show that Jesus is inside my heart
That’s about it.
Thank you for praying for me.
